Tarrant County to consider revoking Temptations nightclub Sexually Oriented Business permit
A hearing will be held later this month to consider revoking the Sexually Oriented Business Permit for Temptations Cabaret in unincorporated Tarrant County. The grounds for the proposed revocation are based on the alleged violation by Temptations of Tarrant County’s regulations for Sexually Oriented Business. Specifically, Temptations is within 1,000 feet of multiple residential dwellings.
As required by the County’s Sexually Oriented Business regulations, a letter was sent on Wednesday by Tarrant County Administrator G.K. Maenius to the nightclub’s owner, Eric Langan of Bellaire, Texas, informing him that the County has started an investigation about whether probable cause exists for the revocation of the nightclub’s Sexually Oriented Business permit.
A hearing before the Sexually Oriented Business Board is scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 21 at the Tarrant County Commissioners Courtroom. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Sexually Oriented Business Board will determine whether the permit should be revoked.
This follows a Public Nuisance lawsuit against the nightclub that was filed on Tuesday by the State of Texas that will be handled by Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney Phil Sorrells.
