The Tarrant County Archives will be open to walk-in researchers Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9am - 12pm and 1:30pm - 4:30pm.
Appointments will still be required on Mondays.

Office of Historic Preservation

The Office of Historic Preservation works to identify, designate, preserve, and celebrate significant historic properties in Tarrant County. Both the public and private sectors in Tarrant County have long and successful records of undertaking a variety of historic preservation-related projects. Among the accomplishments have been identifying, designating, and reusing historic properties that reflect the rich and robust history of the county and its many communities; informing citizens of all generations of the county’s unique and proud past; and continuing to encourage economic growth, development, and expansion through reinvestments in historic downtowns and revitalized neighborhoods.
