Constable Michael R. Campbell was born in Marianna, Arkansas. He is a 1980 graduate of Lee Senior High School and he attended Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from the Dallas Police Academy in 1985 and the Fort Worth Police Academy in 1986. He holds a Master Peace Officer License and has served in law enforcement for the past 30 years. He has completed leadership training through the Bill Blackwood Institute (LEMIT) as well as training for newly elected constables required by the State of Texas. He is a member of the Tarrant County Democratic Party and Texas Coalition of Black Democrats. He is a lifetime member of the NAACP. He serves on the board of the McDonald YMCA, is a member of the Carver Heights East Neighborhood Association, a Prince Hall Master Mason and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church - Fort Worth. In November 2012, he was elected by Tarrant County voters as Constable for Precinct 8 where he continues to faithfully serve the community.
