Felony Research

You may obtain Felony Background checks on the third floor of the Tim Curry Justice Center located at 401 W. Belknap Street.  The hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Background checks obtained at the District Clerks office are $5 and cover criminal felony cases in Tarrant County only.  The information needed for a background check is a full name and a date of birth. 

Copy Fees:

• Non-Certified Paper Copies – $1 per page
• Non-Certified Electronic Copies – $1 for 1-10 pages plus 10 cents per page for 11 or more pages 

• Certified Paper Copies – $1 per page plus $5 Certification/Seal Fee
• Certified Electronic Copies – $1 for 1-10 pages plus 10 cents per page for 11 or more pages plus $5 Certification/Seal Fee

The District Clerk’s office accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Money Orders, Cashier’s Check or Cash for payment
