Summary: Legal documents related to Tarrant County property owned by Beier's ancestors, James Ventioner Sr. and Jr. and their daughter and son-in-law R.M. and M.E. Isbell, Beier's maternal grandparents. This collection contains many of the oldest original land documents in Tarrant County. John Preston Lusk (see second document listed below)  migrated to the Peters Colony as a single man prior to July 1, 1844, but died before 1850. According to the colony agent's report for 1844, Lusk's home was located on White Rock Creek in old Nacogdoches County. John Neely Bryan, the administrator of his estate, received a certificate from the State of Texas Land Commissioner Thomas William Ward and Lusk's heirs patented 320 acres in Tarrant County (Robertson Third Class No. 1741).
