Jail Cost Book
1917-1918
Ledger containing cost sheets for Taylor Building Company, for the building of the Tarrant County Jail (200 Belknap) in 1917 and 1918. This is a detailed, itemized account of all expenses involved with the contractor. Taylor Building Company was owned by James T. Taylor, and was one of the biggest local contractors at the time. Please note that due to the large size of the original pages, each page had to be scanned into two individual segments. Ledger donated by Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector. 36 by 18 inches. 92 pages.

Newspaper clippings, photographs, and one invitation related to Tarrant County and its employees. Scrapbook was kept by an employee of the Tarrant County Credit Union. Newspaper clippings include Bill Gurley (County Treasurer), Jim Boorman (County Clerk), Reed Stewart (Tax Assessor-Collector), Judge Charles Lindsey, Ben Tahmahkera (Sheriff's Department), Dell DeHay (Law Library), and Judge J. C. Duvall. 12 by 12 inches. 94 pages.
