Public Information Officer

The Public Information Officer (PIO) coordinates public relations activities designed to provide County employees, residents and area media with current information regarding all aspects of County operations. The PIO assists residents and the media during Commissioners Court and other public meetings;  participates in the preparation of educational/informational materials; prepares and distributes news releases, newsletters, speeches and other official County documents and publications; and coordinates news conferences.
