Strategic Initiatives Manager

The Strategic Initiatives Manager oversees the County-wide performance management system. The position works with department leaders to develop performance plans, monitors programmatic performance and makes recommendations for process improvement. In addition, the position identifies resources, programs, funding and legislation that impacts and enhances the efficiencies, operations and opportunities of County programs. Lastly, as the County’s priorities evolve, the position works with County leadership and community stake holders to update the Strategic Plan and ensure the plan stays a living document.

Governing For Results
The purpose of the Governing for Results policy is improve service delivery, managerial and policy decision making and public trust. The policy also provides guidance for strategic planning, managerial accountability, and performance management.

Strategic Plan
The County Administrator worked with elected officials, community and county staff to develop the County’s Strategic Plan. The plan was approved by Commissioners Court July 1, 2014, and includes the County’s goals and objectives for the next five years and charter initiatives that have been identified as priority improvement projects.

Performance Report
Annually a performance report will be made available to the public and will include, at minimum, performance data relative to goals and priority outcomes established in the County strategic plan.
