Mobility, or lack of mobility for that matter, impacts every facet of our lives. Now, and more importantly in the future, road conditions will affect our ability to effectively work and live throughout our area. The ability to move people and goods is essential to improving quality of life. To continue the quality of life that is available now, congestion must be managed.
A unified transit system is being developed in the area. The system will be a combination of many types of elements - cars, buses, rail, planes, bikes - and must be seamless.
Two major Northeast Tarrant County projects were completed in 2014. The DFW Connector, a $1.02 billion project, improved mobility for seven highways. The North Tarrant Express, a $2.5 billion project, impacts North Loop 820 and State Highway 183 - the major east-west thoroughfare through Northeast Tarrant County.
