Request a Replacement Check for Property Tax Refund

Checks issued for refunds are valid for 120 days.

Taxpayers can email us at taxrefund@tarrantcountytx.gov if a check was misplaced or not received.  There is no charge to reissue a check.

Payments that are not claimed are escheated to the State of Texas after three years, and we will no longer have access to the funds.  Notices are mailed to property owners before sending the money to the Texas State Comptroller.  To find out if you have unclaimed property with the Comptroller’s office, visit their website at https://claimittexas.org/.
